You’re Looking at a *Cough* Finalist for the Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award!

We’re ruffling a new feather on our cap and thought we’d beat the drum about it.

Last week was all about champagnes, hot air balloons and gourmet celebrations at the DocDoc office. Yeah no, it was beer and pizzas really. But it was a cause for celebration alright when our CEO and Chairman sashayed in and announced that we made it to the finals Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award: a feat that, no doubt, deserves a pat on our backs (and well, extra pizza flavours). For the completely uninitiated and/or those who think it’s a hipster award, here’s your “did you know”: Red Herring’s Top 100 Asia award is a prestigious list honouring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the Asian business region.

These “‘coz we’re cool like that” startups from Asia, Europe and the Americas are selected based on their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. And for every Top 100 event, the Red Herring team evaluates between 800 and 1,400 candidates per continent.

When’s the D-Day, you ask? The Red Herring 100 Winners will be announced on September 5 at the Red Herring Asia 2013 Forum in Hong Kong, after the competing finalists deliver their presentations. So, from September 1st onwards, we shall cross our fingers and every other part of our bodies.

Until then we’ll bask in our new found glory, order more pizzas and well you know …

Interested in knowing our competition? You can find the complete list of finalists right here.

Adios amigos!
